The new Wetherspoons pub on the prom near the Tower.

It is names after the famous poem about Blackpool Tower Circus by Marriott Edgar.    (See the video below the picture).

Work is well underway on a new building on the prom in front of the Blackpool Tower.

This will be a new wedding chapel, cafe/restaurant and tourist information centre. It has already been dubbed the IKEA shed but hopefully it will look wonderful when it is finished.

Lots going on to create the Tower Eye and other changes. All should be finished by September.

The first phase of the restoration of the Winter Gardens was open to the public from today.

A few pictures taken tonight. It is very difficult to get pictures of moving illuminated subjects in the dark.

Its been a very successful and busy few days. Busy at the hotel with lots of guests coming to stay and having a good time. Some of our guests came from as far away as Italy, Germany, Ireland and Estonia.
