This tram has been completely refurbish and had its press relaunch today. Although it does not show up clearly in the daylight, this is an illuminated tram and will be in service during the illuminations period.

After an absence of four years the popular organ concerts are to return to the North Pier in Blackpool for the 2009 Summer Season.

The owners of the Pier(Six piers Ltd and a subsidiary company of Leisure Parcs) apparently received a two thousand name petition virtually demanding the return of the organ.

The concerts will be performed twice daily at 11.00am and 2.30pm from Sunday to Friday commencing on the 27th of May 2009.

The content of the concert programme will be popular tunes,light classics and a request section.

The airline, which is operated by Loganair, will now be running daily services from Blackpool to the two destinations with prices starting at £29.99 one way including taxes.

There was supposed to be a big north south divide again today. hot and sunny in the south, cold and raining in the north.

There was another fire at the empty revells hotel on the prom that brought the prom to a standstill.

all the trams were backed up waiting for the tracks to be reopened.
