Under the bonnet there is a steam boiler where the petrol engine
should be!
This steam car was displayed at the rally by Rod. affectionately known to his friends as ‘Lord Pilling’
Lady Pilling was busy serving teas.

Where is HAMBLEDON ?
It should be HAMBLETON.
Steamcars have boilers under the bonnet which is the best place to put them.
Infernal combustion engines don’t have thwe same appeal.
Too much bias about petrol engines in your blog.
The “Traction Engine “is an Aveling and Porter steam tractor called “Joanne” owned by John Heselwood of Bury.
The trailer is very useful for transporting my car when it is not in steam.
Lady Pilling was kept busy making teas and coffees for all visitors to the caravan including the photographer.
More information later thank you.
“Lord Pilling”
Hambleton it is.
